Initial consult - extended

Extended assessment and treatment of a new problem. Recommended for chronic or persistent spinal pain (neck and back) or if addressing multiple issues. Spinal pain is regularly more complex and so extra time can be valuable to get to the root of the cause.

Initial consult

Initial appointment to assess and treat a new problem. Assessment will take into account the whole body, your history and your lifestyle to provide a treatment and rehabilitation plan unique to your situation. Available in person or via telehealth.

Follow up consult

Subsequent appointment to reassess the region, progress the rehabilitation program and provide treatment options to accelerate recovery. Available in person or via telehealth.

  • Typically not. A referral is only required if you are claiming your treatments under a Medicare CDM plan or as a DVA patient.

  • Yes. Please bring your private healthcare card with you for each appointment.

  • Yes. Please bring your referral and claim number to the first appointment.

  • Yes. A referral from your GP is required to be emailed through prior to commencing treatment. Once payment has been made on the day, your Medicare rebate will be processed and money refunded to the bank account linked to your Medicare. Typically ~$70 is covered per session by Medicare.

  • Yes. A referral from your GP will be required prior to commencing each treatment cycle. A treatment cycle lasts either 12 sessions or 1 year which ever comes first. Please email through your referral before commencing a treatment cycle.

  • Niche Physio will treat patients 12 years of age or older for musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. For patients under the age of 18 a parent or guardian is required to attend the appointment.

  • NDIS participants and funding is not accepted
