Meet the team
BSc. (Physiotherapy) | M.Clin.Physio (Musculoskeletal)
Nick Nyman, Physio
My favourite part of being a physiotherapist is being able to help people live a better, healthier, pain-free life. I love working with a variety of patients to help achieve their individual goals.
I found my way to physiotherapy after an active adolescence of playing hockey, tennis and running landed me with many aches and sprains that sent me to the physio on a regular basis. I learned early the benefits of both manual therapy and exercise-rehabilitation in the recovery process and wanting to return to sport as soon as possible.
Professionally as a physio, I have been fortunate enough to help people from all walks of life. Early in my career I gravitated towards the treatment of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries with a special interest in the treatment of persistent and long standing painful conditions such as chronic back pain, fibromyalgia and whiplash.
At the end of 2023 I completed my musculoskeletal titling which is a recognition of expertise that only 10% of physiotherapists attain. As a titled physio I will offer you treatments guided by improved hands on and diagnostic skill, as well as advanced clinical reasoning to ensure a speedy recovery.
Having worked extensively with some of Perth’s best orthopaedic surgeons, I am extremely well versed in pre and post-operative rehabilitation, and love providing solutions that can improve your pain and function without the need for surgery.
If I’m not at the clinic, you’ll probably find me exercising at the gym, swimming at the beach, playing with Myla my dog or planning my next trip away.
Natalee Patterson, Practice Manager
Since starting with Niche Physio Nat has brought with her an unmatched level of warmth and professionalism to the front desk. Natalee comes with a 20 year banking career behind her and her passion is customer service and wanting to make sure everyone feels welcome and looked after.
Natalee stepped away from Banking after having children to focus on being a full-time mum for her two boys, during that time she has renovated the old arts and crafts building on Roberts Street which now hosts a yoga studio a hairdresser and a massage therapist.
Natalee felt it was time to step back into the work force now that her children are getting a little older and wanted to branch out and diversify her skill set into something that will help build a new career going forward. We couldn’t be more happy to have her around the clinic and part of the team.
Myla, Head of client relations
Meet Myla, the friendly and efficient receptionist at Niche Physiotherapy. With a wagging tail and a keen sense of responsibility, Myla brings a unique charm and a paw-sitive attitude to our team. Despite being a four-legged furry friend, Myla has mastered the art of greeting clients with a bark of warmth and a sniff of professionalism.
Myla’s exceptional skills go beyond the traditional expectations of a receptionist. While she may not be fluent in human language, she excels in creating a welcoming atmosphere, offering a reassuring presence to clients who may be feeling nervous or anxious. Her ability to sense emotions and provide comfort is truly unmatched.
Myla’s enthusiasm extends beyond her receptionist duties. She thrives on spreading joy and laughter among staff and clients alike, providing a much-needed break from the everyday stresses of physiotherapy. Her presence serves as a reminder that healing can be accompanied by happiness and a touch of furry companionship.
In the fast-paced world of physiotherapy, Myla is a valuable team member who brings a refreshing and unexpected twist to our clinic.
